{Summer Week} The Sun Dress...

 
Who's ready for another theme week? Since I'm always talking about how I can't wait for fall, I figured I should stop and enjoy summer while I still can, so voila! A new theme week was born. First up, the sun dress. All you need are some stripes, pastels and cute cutout detailing, and you've got yourselves the all the makings of a summertime staple... Too bad this is the first time I've worn this dress since buying it a month ago, but I digress � As is the case with theme weeks, better late than never, right?

{Style} Pink Moment...

Although not normally my jam, I'm totally feeling pink and in a big way... Believe me, no one's more surprised than me. I don't know what it is, but all shades of this girlie-toned spectrum are now on the table and I'm not even mad. Seriously though, everything from the vibrant hue of this maxi dress, down to the perfectly pale pink of my new Olive + Piper necklace is now in heavy rotation, and I'm hooked... I guess I owe my pal Kastles � the eternal pink-lover � an apology.

{Style} Birthday Dress...

I bought this dress last week with my birthday in mind, only plans change, and I didn't actually wear it in the end. Regardless of this � oh let's go ahead and call it "minor" � detail, this dress shall forever be known as "the birthday dress" in my mind and in my heart... Sniff sniff.

Mr. AiF gets bored looking at my blog when I don't write anything (his words), so I guess I felt a little peer pressured into adding some copy to this post... If you enjoy my usual, mindless ramblings, great; but if you don't, feel free to blame this one on him � I always enjoy doing so.

And in other, less accusatory news, the blogger clothing sale I mentioned Friday was a hit � I even came home with this cute little dress from my pal Jenna! Maybe we should have called the event shopaholics enabling shopaholics... xx

I bought this dress for Greece, but because I'm pretty much the most impatient person ever, it made it's debut a week before my trip... Hey, a girl only has so much willpower, am I right? xx

Yellow...

I still can't get enough of these H&M pants, even though I've practically worn them a million times before. This time, I paired them with a simple yellow blouse that offered ample ventilation (what can I say, it's hot!), as well as an old pair of sandals that had been seriously neglected lately. And with a little light accessorizing, I was out the door... Easy-peasy.

Anchors Aweigh!

I've always had a thing for nautical motifs, so when the nice people at eShakti offered to send me a piece from their spring line, I just couldn't resist this dress... The colourful chains and anchors really spoke to me, and the print was unlike anything I had seen before. So in the spirit of trying new things, I paired the dress with a belt and a striped blazer to add some contrast and, well, more nautical charm... Because really, what are stripes if not nautical � am I right?

(Un)Easy Rider...

Recognize this skirt? I'm gonna go out on a limb and say no... That's because it typically doesn't get a lot of play, what with its ever-rising slip that leaves me feeling oh-so exposed. Not fun. Regardless, I decided to give it another chance because hey, that's the kind of girl I am... The result? Let's just say you probably won't be seeing this skirt again for a long, long time.
