The weekend is here, and I for one am mega excited (yes, I said mega) to kick back, relax and maybe even do a little shopping while Mr. AiF's out of town. Hey, when the cat's away, am I right? Nothing crazy, just a thing or two to spice things up a bit... You know what else I'm particularly looking forward to this weekend? Uninterrupted, quality time with my old pal Netfix without so much as a peep about my (totally awesome) movie selections... Sometimes when all my shirts seem boring and old, I like to turn my attentions to Mr. AiF's closet... Exhibit A: This plaid shirt. The colour and shape make it perfect for layering, and let's face it, it's always more fun wearing other people's clothes. Sorry Lobbie.

In the dead of winter, a little floral print can do wonders for morale...  Take it from me, with over a month of snow under my belt, nothing cheers me up quite like some peppy pants. That, and cheesecake. And ice cream.  Ooooh, and pretty much all carbs. Luckily for you guys this isn't a food blog... Although Adventures in Gluttony kinda has a nice ring to it, no?

Can we just take a minute to talk about scarves? I don't know what it is about these little strips of fabric, but they bring me joy like nobody's business. There's just so many styles, prints and finishes to choose from that I can't help wanting them all... Not exactly helpful when you're battling Stuffed Closet Syndrome (commonly known as SCS), but I digress.

This Beta scarf is my latest flavor of the week, with its cute colour, skull motif and silky goodness constantly leaving me wanting more... And did I mention the whole silk thing? Sorry, but it bares repeating... Silk. OK there, I'm done.

{Style} For the Love of Plaid...

Mornings are often a struggle for me, so sometimes I literally just have to throw things together in hopes that they work. This, dear reader, was one of those outfits. I knew I wanted to wear this shimmery top the second I saw it peeking through a heap of clothes (aka the state of my closet right now), and the pants were selected solely because they were within reach. The bar is low, my friends. From there, I figured I didn't have much to lose, so I threw on this blazer and hoped for the best. The end result? Let's just say it's somewhere between secretary chic and Caddyshack... I'll take it.

{Style} Laid Back Leopard...

Leopard print jeans are my greatest guilty pleasure, only minus the gilt because they're totally awesome. I hesitated for a second when I first saw them last summer, but then I gave my head a shake and quickly pulled out my credit card... No regrets. Rain, shine or snow (ahem), I'm all about these bad boys. What can I say, I'm loyal like that.

{Details} DVF Love...

If details are the spice of life, then this little DVF clutch is the spiciest of them all... Hubba hubba. I bought this back in NYC because it was the prettiest clutch I had ever seen � I mean come on, just look at it! That colour, that style, those hot lips... Man I'm in love. And do you know how I celebrated that love? You guessed it my friends, with sugar and sweet, sweet caffeine... Let's just say I know how to show a clutch a good time. xx

{Style} Floral Freedom...

Happy November, or as it shall forever be known in my heart, Shopember... That's right my friends, the ban is officially over and you are now looking at a free woman. Confession? I ended up cheating a smidgen last weekend and bought these floral leggings from Zara while searching for my Halloween costume (a permissible expense). In my defense, I fell in love with them instantly and they only had one pair left in my size... Hey, what's a girl to do?

Now before you go and start throwing rotten food at me, hear me out� You see, technically I stopped shopping on Sept. 20, and although I missed the official ban-lift by a few days, I refrained from buying any clothing for over a month, so I figured it was justifiable. And did I mention that I loooove them? Come on, I'm only human. xx

Yellow...

I still can't get enough of these H&M pants, even though I've practically worn them a million times before. This time, I paired them with a simple yellow blouse that offered ample ventilation (what can I say, it's hot!), as well as an old pair of sandals that had been seriously neglected lately. And with a little light accessorizing, I was out the door... Easy-peasy.
