Summer is all about breezy separates, simple yet impactful accessories and � on particularly humid days � the absence of bangs. Although not always a fan of the latter (so exposed!), I'm totally down with the rest. I mean really, loose tops that don't stick to you when temperatures spike? Sign me up! Oversized sunnies that could transform any hot mess (pun intended) into a total chic machine? Yus please! Studded flats that could be walked in for days? Obvi! Throw in a frozen treat or two, and I should be good for the next few months... Menchies anyone?

New bags make everything better, even if I'm slightly scared to use this one for fear of ruining its perfectness... Metallic bags are beautiful yet oh-so fragile (I'm speaking from experience here people!), so I'm watching my every move (and denim encounter) where this Milly satchel is concerned. Apparently I can learn from my mistakes � RIP Betsey Johnson bag.

Remember yesterday's post about working ahead, batching and doing whatever you can to stay on top of your blog? Well this post is an example of what not to do. For instance, don't neglect to take photos ahead of time and instead force yourself to pose in the rain at 5 p.m.... Just don't do it. Oh, and if you know you're going to an event after work (Cirque de Soleil, whaaaat!), do not leave the editing and writing of your next day's post until after you get home... You know, unless you actually like staying up until 1 a.m. and being a total crankasaurus at work the next day. Seriously, don't do it.

These ShoeMint beauties have been imprisoned in my closet for months under the tyrannical oppression of Old Man Winter (what a jerk), but yesterday � joy of joys � they finally got to see the light of day and go for a mini stroll... Huzzah! I'm sure if they could talk they would tell you that they were very, very pleased. Oh, and that puddles scare them. xx

Give me a bold floral print any day of the week, and I'm one happy girl... Mind you, this particular pairing prompted strange, blank expressions and double takes from passersby (that, or my large-and-in-charge-hair that day), but I didn't care. Heck, I'll scream my love for print mixing and exaggerated jewels from the rooftops if I have to! Challenge accepted.

{Christmas Week} Plaid Details...

For most of us, the holidays come complete with a chill in the air and that pesky Jack Frost incessantly nipping at your nose... Soooo not sexy. Thankfully the winter gods throw us a bone every now and again, allowing for cold weather accessories that � joy of joys � actually look cute! What a concept.

These Quill & Tine driving gloves are by far my favourite new winter discovery, as their luxe materials (wool, lambskin and cashmere lining, what!) and dreamy print (because really, what's Christmas without a little plaid?) look damn good as they shield my delicate digits from the elements. The best part? They seem to like my smart phone as much as I do � a glove rarity, to be sure. Let's just say my phone and I are very, very pleased.

Can we just take a minute to talk about scarves? I don't know what it is about these little strips of fabric, but they bring me joy like nobody's business. There's just so many styles, prints and finishes to choose from that I can't help wanting them all... Not exactly helpful when you're battling Stuffed Closet Syndrome (commonly known as SCS), but I digress.

This Beta scarf is my latest flavor of the week, with its cute colour, skull motif and silky goodness constantly leaving me wanting more... And did I mention the whole silk thing? Sorry, but it bares repeating... Silk. OK there, I'm done.

Sheer boredom, coupled with my love of online shopping, led to a little splurge-fest recently... And since I worked from home yesterday, I was around when Mr. Postman came by to deliver the goods. No, not like that pervs, I'm talking about this adorable bag and these hot heels! Now truth be told, my dream animal-embossed bag is a little more Burberry than ASOS, but hey, I do what I can. If details are the spice of life, then this little DVF clutch is the spiciest of them all... Hubba hubba. I bought this back in NYC because it was the prettiest clutch I had ever seen � I mean come on, just look at it! That colour, that style, those hot lips... Man I'm in love. And do you know how I celebrated that love? You guessed it my friends, with sugar and sweet, sweet caffeine... Let's just say I know how to show a clutch a good time. xx

It's no big secret that I'm a huuuuge fan of stripes� I mean seriously, can you think of a more versatile print? It's an all-season style that can be rocked just as easily in spring as it can come fall, which is precisely why I love it so. This particular dress is perfect for brisk days because it's lined, long sleeved and lovely... How's that for your daily dose of alliteration? Throw on a woven belt, breezy vest and a pop-o-colour cuff (nicely done, Joe Fresh!) and you've got yourself a fall-tastic look. Easy peasy.
